Gurukul International School: A Legacy of Excellence

Established in the year 2000 - 2001, Gurukul International School (State Board) has been a beacon of quality education in Badlapur for 25 incredible years! With a strong motto of Shreshth Bhava ("Excellence in All"), we've been imparting knowledge with values, discipline, and culture to nurture well-rounded individuals.

Our Journey

Our school began with just 2 students in the year 2000-2001, blessed by “GOD” and “PARAM PUJYA SHRI PRAMUKH SWAMI MAHARAJ (BAPS SWAMI NARAYAN)“ and inspired by my mother Late Smt. Ansuyaben J. Naik, a dedicated teacher in BMC. And also, with the strong support from Chairperson and Principal Mrs. Sonal Hitendra Naik and Mr. Kamlakar Bhagaji Ghorpade, today, we're proud to serve 3000 students with innovative pedagogies, focusing on academic, emotional, and psychological growth.

We're deeply rooted in Indian Culture, imparting cultural values to shape a strong, cultured youth who'll lead India on the righteous path.

Building on our success, we've introduced Gurukul International School (Proposed ICSE) in 2023, catering to Badlapur's aspirations. Our mission remains: to create learners who are scientific, empathetic, imaginative, and humble.

Education is a process by which character is moulded, the strength of mind is multi-folded, intellect is wielded, and thereby—a composed personality for the refinement of society is sculpted.

My father, Late Shri. Bhagaji Ghorpade, an educationist, believed in nurturing every child’s potential. Fifty years ago, he founded “Adarsh Vidyamandir” in Badlapur (East), providing equal opportunities for all. Continuing his legacy, I joined Mr. Hitubhai Naik, Chairman of Gurukul International School (SSC), focusing on holistic development of young minds.

With the construction of a new wing for Gurukul International School (Proposed ICSE) starting from the academic year 2023-24, we aim to provide learning experiences that stimulate every child’s confidence, commitment, and character. Let’s unite to foster independent, creative thinkers and inspiring leaders, and together, give the world individuals who are not just educated, but empowered to make a difference.
